Madrid Highlights Diversity and Coexistence

A notable gathering in Madrid welcomed community leaders, artists and experts in coexistence to celebrate the World Day for Cultural Diversity. The event, promoted by Fundación Mejora at the national headquarters of Scientology in Madrid, placed emphasis on dialogue, tolerance and mutual understanding. The round table included a representative of the Bahá’í Community of Spain, Fernando Hernández of the Madrid Municipal Police Diversity Management Unit, flamenco artist Tito Losada, and human rights educator Denise González. Speakers shared reflections from faith, culture and public service on how open dialogue can help build more inclusive communities.

Throughout the gathering, participants considered themes such as human rights, cultural identity and respect for differences. Fundación Mejora connected the initiative with Scientology’s focus on human dignity and social betterment. Ivan Arjona, representative of the Church of Scientology to European news eugene and international institutions, noted that cultural and religious diversity can become a strength when rooted in respect for human rights.
